Job summary

HEICO is seeking an RF Engineer in Chatsworth, CA to join the aviation antenna team. You will work with Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers and Drafters to develop and support aviation antennas.

Responsibilities include RF/microwave antenna design, simulation in HFSS or CST, testing in anechoic chambers, and assisting production with troubleshooting.

The role requires 1–3 years in RF, a B.S. in EE or Physics, and strong communication, organization, and independence.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics required.
• 1–3 years in RF industry experience.
• Experience with antenna design and testing or passive RF components.
• Knowledge of antenna design theory and fundamentals.
• Experience with EM simulation tools such as HFSS or CST.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave lab test equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Basic simulation of antennas in frequencies ranging from VHF to Ku-band in CST or HFSS.
• Testing and verifying different antennas in anechoic chambers.
• Support production with production issues like ATP failures and troubleshooting.
• Additional responsibilities as they become necessary.
