Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation is seeking a Ramp Agent to load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail, and to guide aircraft to and from gates while supporting ramp operations. You will help ensure safe, timely handling of aircraft on the ground in a team-based aviation environment.

Applicants must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass background checks and drug screening. Flexibility to work varied shifts is required; safety and reliability are emphasized across all duties.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices).
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials/clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs).
• Airlines are 24/7, so shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Repetitive loading/unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail onto aircraft with accuracy.
• Operate ground service equipment such as pushbacks, tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
• Read and analyze aircraft load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels.
• Marshalling aircraft to and from gates and ensuring safe ground movement.
• Adhere to safety protocols and airline regulations; work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Lift heavy objects in varying weather conditions; maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report issues; follow standard ramp procedures.
• Adapt to changing flight schedules and priorities; exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety.
