Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Nashville is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to help flights run on time by recording shipments, moving baggage and cargo, and guiding aircraft to and from gates.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, working outdoors in all weather, a valid driver's license, English proficiency, and flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays. Pre-employment testing, including a drug test, is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs continuously.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have a current driver’s license with no violations in the past 5 years.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is outdoors; must be comfortable in all weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain airport and customs badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft.
• Move cargo between aircraft, terminals and air cargo facilities.
• Operate motorized equipment as required.
• Read weight/balance loading instructions, labels and routing tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
