Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Senior Quality Metrology Engineer to lead precision measurements using portable metrology systems and to develop inspection plans for product acceptance.

You will apply GD&T and AIAG MSA methods to evaluate measurement accuracy and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least two years in quality with portable tools, and experience with CAD/analysis software (CATIA/3DX, SolidWorks) and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field required.
Has at least 2 years of work experience in quality with portable metrology tools.
Strong GD&T skills and experience with metrology hardware and software.
Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100/AS9110/ISO9000) and statistical methods.
Proficiency with MS Office, Minitab, CAMs, CATIA/3DX, MES, Power BI and SAP.

Responsibilities

Review inspection capabilities to identify gaps and develop standardized inspection technique sheets.
Identify and integrate new measurement technologies to support manufacturing and customer needs.
Work with customers to assess needs and develop tailored metrology approaches.
Collaborate with training to create formal programs for equipment use and reporting.
Develop solutions to moderately complex problems to enhance quality and efficiency.
