Job summary

AAR Aircraft Services Greensboro in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Director of Quality to lead the QMS across engineering, manufacturing, modification, repair, and certification activities. You will ensure FAA compliance, oversee audits, and drive continuous improvement and safety culture.

Responsibilities include leading the QA and inspection functions, managing MRB processes, partner with cross-functional leadership, develop metrics, and direct staffing and budgets to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; or equivalent experience in aviation quality.
• Minimum ten years in aviation quality, manufacturing, or regulatory roles.
• Minimum five years leading quality teams and cross-functional groups.
• Experience interfacing with FAA on Part 21/145/PAH and related activities.
• Strong knowledge of CFR19 CFR Parts 21, 25, 43, 45, 145, 183.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System for FAA compliance.
• Oversee QA and inspection functions including receiving, in-process, final inspection.
• Drive audit programs, corrective/preventive actions, MRB, and CAPA.
• Interface with FAA, customers, and auditors to close findings.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting for quality performance.
• Staff, train, coach, and grow a high-performing QA organization.
