Job summary

Air Transport Components (ATC), an FAA-approved Part 145 Repair Station, seeks a Quality Control Inspector with 10 years' maintenance experience. You will ensure airworthiness, verify records, and perform inspections to meet FAA and customer data requirements.

The role requires lifting capacity, IFR/CFAR knowledge, and strong communication. Benefits include overtime and bonuses with a flex schedule; compensation ranges from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license strongly encouraged, not required.
• 10-year experience as a maintenance technician and/or inspector.
• Must be knowledgeable of the FARs.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and/or more regularly.
• Must be able to bend and/or squat repeatedly and stand for long periods.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willing to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure repair station records, work order reports, and forms are completed properly prior to releasing the product for return to service.
• Assist in determining that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the repair station.
• Perform final acceptance of all incoming material, new parts, suppliers and airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station.
• Perform airworthiness inspections on articles with work performed outside the repair station.
• Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress and final inspections on all articles processed by the repair station.
• Oversee proper tagging and identification of all parts to ensure rejected or non-repairable parts are properly marked, quarantined, and rendered unusable.
• Complete tasks per policies and procedures in the manual.
• Follow procedures from aircraft maintenance manuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality or higher authority.
• Perform inspections on assigned maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to ensure quality and compliance with manuals and CFRs.
