Job summary

Air Transport Components (ATC) is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in Gilbert, AZ. The role requires extensive maintenance experience, FAA knowledge, and strict adherence to airworthiness standards.

Expect 40 hours weekly with possible overtime and a pay range of $35–$40 per hour DOE. The ideal candidate will ensure all records are complete, verify airworthiness, and supervise inspections of materials and work performed by others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A&P license encouraged but not required.
• 10 years experience as a maintenance technician or inspector.
• Knowledge of FARs (FAA regulations).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willing to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure repair station records, work order reports and forms are completed properly prior to releasing the product for return to service.
• Assist in determining that no defective, unserviceable or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the repair station.
• Perform the final acceptance of all incoming material, new parts, suppliers and airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station.
• Perform airworthiness inspections on articles of which work has been performed outside the repair station.
• Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress and final inspections on all articles processed by the repair station.
• Oversee tagging and identification of all parts to ensure rejected or non-repairable parts are marked and quarantined.
• Complete tasks in accordance with policies and procedures in the manual.
• Follow procedures from aircraft manufacturer maintenance manuals.
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Director of Quality.
• Perform inspections to ensure quality of workmanship meets industry standards.
