Job summary

Berry Aviation, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Inspector to perform in-process inspections of aircraft and components, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, approved data, and Berry standards.

The role collaborates with the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector and maintenance staff to identify discrepancies and maintain inspection documentation. You will verify use of current manuals, tools, and calibrated equipment, and ensure proper tagging and disposition of parts.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification required.
• Minimum of 18 months of experience in aircraft maintenance and/or quality inspection.
• Recent experience performing quality control inspections.
• Experience interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, component maintenance manuals, and technical data.
• Experience using inspection tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily in-process inspections on aircraft, ensuring compliance with the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43.
• Review inspection records and notes to ensure proper sign-offs and complete corrective actions.
• Ensure only serviceable, airworthy parts are installed and monitor shelf life items.
• Conduct maintenance records audits and final inspections; verify data accuracy and FAA 337s as required.
• Coordinate with Lead Mechanic and Director of Quality to ensure FAA approved data is used for major repairs/alterations.
• Identify AD/SB/mod status before release and document accordingly.
