Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector to oversee turbine inspection work scopes and ensure return-to-service compliance with FAA regulations. You will collaborate with Program Managers, Team Leaders, and Quality Control Inspectors to document and validate each step of the process.

Qualified candidates will have an A&P license or Repairman certificate, 3 years of turbine inspection experience, and strong data analysis skills for FAA forms and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A&P License or Repairman Certificate required.
• IA rating recommended.
• Valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveillance of all assigned work orders to verify condition and completion.
• Create maintenance log entries meeting return-to-service requirements.
• Analyze data and documents to author FAA Form 337s for major repairs and alterations.
• Prepare Weight and Balance Reports from data and documents.
• Coordinate work scopes with Program Managers and QC Inspectors on a daily basis.
• Gather documentation for customers at delivery and accompany West Star work orders.
• Update FAA forms and records with Engineering to ensure expedient return to service.
• Conduct internal audits as required.
• Maintain daily communication with the assigned aircraft and team leaders to ensure schedule and quality.
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits and clear English communication.
