Job summary

ALOFT AeroArchitects in Georgetown, DE seeks a Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector to perform first article inspection and in-process checks on complex aircraft parts. This role emphasizes attention to GD&T, precision measurement, and adherence to QMS standards.

You will work with inspection equipment, ERP/MRP systems, and document control processes while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and ISO 9001/AS9100. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years inspection / manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection report desired.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Willing to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Read schematics, drawings, specifications to determine data requirements.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections with precision.
• Maintain proficiency with inspection aides and test equipment.
• Set up inspections independently using available equipment.
• Verify part marking and accept/reject according to procedures.
• Review documentation for articles, parts, materials.
• Maintain QMS records per policies.
• Follow safety policies while ensuring quality work.
• Handle nonconforming product per QMS.
• Be familiar with FAA regs and ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Document actions with timekeeping records.
• Complete training requirements timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
