Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance (QA) for Maintenance & Engineering. You will lead auditors, set priorities, assess risks, and maintain audit standards across the organization. This role partners with leadership to ensure effective QA coverage and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in operational process auditing or equivalent in maintenance leadership.
  • 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, process-driven mindset and safety advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of auditors and manage time/budget to maintain quality and auditee satisfaction.
  • Ensure QA surveillance supports CAMP, Engineering process oversight, and SMS.
  • Assign QA resources to cover all auditing requirements across internal and third-party maintenance providers.
  • Review CAS E program and maintain AS membership; conduct IFQP assessments.
  • Collaborate with Director QA on risk assessments and annual audit planning strategy.
  • Communicate audit findings to senior leadership with clear root-cause analysis.
  • Prepare formal written audit reports with adequate evidence.
  • Oversee corrective actions and track resolution; support DAG and SRB presentations.
  • Liaise with FAA on MPL issues and ensure compliance with CFAR 121.368(h).
  • Develop risk-based tools to strengthen operational programs and processes.
  • Develop people through performance management and stretch assignments.
