Job summary

King Aerospace in Ardmore, Oklahoma seeks a Quality Assurance Inspector to oversee inspection, testing, and documentation ensuring FAA and company standards are met. Responsibilities include inspecting airframes, engines, and subsystems; verifying paperwork; and maintaining data systems and documentation.

Required is a current FAA A&P license; a valid driver’s license is also needed. Inspection Authorization is preferred, and pre-employment screening plus travel readiness may apply.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license current and valid.
• Driver's license current.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
• Background check required.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct inspections, testing, and analysis to assure quality of the product.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with requirements.
• Inspect aviation products and paperwork to verify part numbers, serials, certifications, and FAA compliance.
• Document QA data per company policies and procedures.
• Communicate issues and propose process improvements to management.
• Collect engine performance data with tachometers and gauges; inspect controls installation and adjustment.
• Verify component installation tolerances using measuring tools.
• Authorize units by signing inspection tags and logging inspections in MIS and OEM data systems.
• Maintain the Technical Data Library and update OEM manuals.
• Direct QA personnel as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
