Job summary

AAR in Miami, FL seeks a Quality Assurance Auditor to compile objective evidence through interviews, document reviews, observations, audits, surveillance and investigations to ensure operations meet regulations and policies.

The role develops corrective actions and process improvements, guiding actions based on investigations and departmental input. Strong communication and aviation regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using standard English.
• Able to interface in a pleasant and professional manner with all departments, level of management, customers and vendors.
• Able to complete assigned tasks, including follow-up assignments, in a timely manner.
• Must be willing to work irregular schedule when required.
• Familiar with FAA regulations, 14 CFR 43, 145 and 121 preferred.
• Able to competently research and retrieve technical data.
• Properly interpret blueprints, drawings and other technical data preferred.
• Minimum one year hands-on Aircraft Maintenance experience or one year specialized experience in a related aviation field preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with PC applications (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Data Analysis tools).
• Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to analyze information and utilize problem solving skills.
• Be able to work under adverse conditions in a production aircraft hangar environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled surveillance of the repair station, its facility and vendors, sub-contractors, aircraft parts suppliers and manufactures for compliance with ASM policies and FARs.
• Evaluate internal operations for adequacy of facilities, equipment, procedures and management to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Coordinate investigation and reporting of incidents of non-compliance and non-conformance.
• Ensure all Repair Station personnel comply with applicable regulations and manuals.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and positive customer service attitude.
• Ensure maintenance and inspection personnel use approved data issued by the manufacturer, FAA or Customer.
• Ensure adequate inspection aids and equipment are available and maintained.
• Oversight of facility technician training requirements and tool calibration program.
• Ensure final inspections are performed before release for Return to Service.
• Conduct internal and external facility audits as required.
• Ensure incoming parts receive proper incoming inspection per policies.
