Job summary

Project Manager

Location: Richland Hills, TX. Hybrid/Remote considered.

The Aviation Project Manager ensures the successful delivery of aviation security and baggage handling system projects that meet client objectives, regulatory requirements, and VTC’s gold‑standard of quality. This role drives results by aligning project teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Outcomes
  • Client Partnership: Build trusted, long‑term relationships with airport, airline, and TSA clients by anticipating needs, communicating clearly, and translating complex technical requirements into actionable project strategies.
  • Project Delivery Excellence: Lead cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver projects that meet contractual obligations and performance standards, resulting in systems that operate reliably, efficiently, and safely.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage project budgets and schedules proactively, ensuring profitability targets are met while maintaining compliance with FAR and client requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain rigorous quality standards that reduce rework and strengthen client confidence.
  • Quality: Ensure quality is embedded throughout every phase of design and delivery, upholding the VTC’s gold‑standard and reducing rework.
  • Documentation: Deliver thorough and accurate project documentation that ensures transparency, continuity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Empower and coordinate diverse teams of engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to perform at their best, fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned and apply insights to refine VTC’s processes, positioning the company as a leader in aviation project delivery.
