Job summary

STV is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation group. These positions will support major aviation capital improvement programs onsite in Denver, CO and in Phoenix, AZ.

The Project Manager’s objective is to build and maintain positive client relationships and to achieve or exceed the estimated profit margin for projects. Strong PM leadership and field performance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar
• 7+ years of construction or project management experience
• Proven leadership experience in PM roles
• Ability to work independently in field environments
• Experience managing construction in active airport environments

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional activities to deliver project scope, schedule and budget
• Lead development of proposals, initiation, execution, control and closeout for design/construction
• Support marketing, proposals and presentations for project selection
• Plan project execution and develop the project manual
• Schedule resources and manage budget, cash flow, quality and risk
• Maintain contractor-client liaison and inform stakeholders of progress and budgets
• Oversee documentation for permits and code compliance
• Lead regular progress meetings and ensure regulatory compliance
• Develop and supervise project teams and assign tasks
• Coordinate with authorities for permits and approvals

STV is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation group. These positions will support major aviation capital improvement programs onsite in Denver, CO and in Phoenix, AZ.

The Project Manager’s overall objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, and to achieve or exceed the estimated profit margin for projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Organizes cross-functional activities, for coordination of project activities for the completion of the project (i.e., project deliverables, schedule and budget)
• Capable of managing and directing the development of proposals, project initiation, project execution/control and project closeout for planning, Environmental Impact Statements, design and/or construction projects, and is responsible for project budgets, extra work requests and invoicing
• Participates in, or leads project-specific marketing, proposal preparation and presentations for successful project selection
• Plans the complete project execution and develops the project manual
• Schedules and monitors manpower requirements against the project budget/spending performance, including managing activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, discipline requirements, resources, procurement, and risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility
• Establishes contractor-client liaison network to keep interested parties informed of project planning, start date, and work and budget progress
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including development, execution and updating project manpower
• Forms a project work team that meets regularly to coordinate responsibility for assignment and execution of tasks according to schedule
• Submits documents to Federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and submits documentation for the various permits applications as required
• Holds regularly-scheduled project progress meetings to review that the project contract’s terms, conditions, and specifications are being met
• Ensures project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies and manpower, equipment, materials, and quality procedures are recognized for timely intervention and resolution
• May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architectural, Construction Management or similar designation
• Minimum 7 years of construction and/or project management experience
• Proven experience operating in a project management or leadership capacity
• Ability to work independently and effectively in field environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of current technologies and tools used in project delivery
• This position is contingent upon client approval
• Experience managing construction in active/operational airport environments

Compensation Range:

$122,499.03 - $139,998.89
