Pape-Dawson Engineers in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a licensed Project Engineer to lead technical design and engineering execution on civil infrastructure projects. You will own deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards.

You will coordinate across disciplines, mentor junior staff, and interact with clients and public agencies while balancing quality, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and produce complete engineering designs including plans, specs, reports, calculations, and estimates.
  • Evaluate design alternatives and select cost-effective, constructible solutions.
  • Coordinate technical work across disciplines, PMs, and subconsultants.
  • Review work to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality.
  • Provide technical risk assessment and support schedule/budget adherence.
  • Mentor junior staff and engage with clients and agencies.

Job Description:Project EngineerOverviewThe Aviation Project Engineer is a licensed Professional Engineer responsible for leading technical design and engineering execution on projects within their assigned service area. This role takes full ownership of technical deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
