Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking an Aviation Project Designer to join our Little Rock office. Design, draft, and collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and interns on aviation-focused projects and turnkey assignments.

Responsibilities include cost estimating, preliminary design, funding applications, environmental studies, and construction design support. Travel is primarily short day trips to job sites and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, policies and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of airport operations.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Cost estimating and preliminary design.
• Assisting with funding applications and environmental studies.
• Prepare detailed reports on results and findings.
• Develop construction plans and specifications.
• Perform detailed design calculations.
• Consult with clients to obtain and relay information.
• Assist in the management of projects throughout construction.
