Qualifications

• 2-8 years of full-time paid professional experience in preparing complete cost estimates for building construction per state codes.
• Knowledge of local construction labor and material costs.
• Experience in developing and estimating change orders.
• Ability to compare independent estimates with contractor proposals.
• Ability to develop scope of work from RFI/RFC and estimate detailed costs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review construction cost estimates for buildings from drawings and specifications.
• Check estimates submitted by architects/engineers for accuracy and alignment with district estimates.
• Analyze variances with bids, change orders, and cost adjustments.
• Develop budgets and change-order estimates for PM/CM projects.
• Support price negotiations and claim analyses as needed.
