Job summary

Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, FL is seeking a full-time Buyer who will manage procurement from requisition receipt to receipt of items, ensuring best price, quality, and delivery.

The role requires negotiating with vendors, sourcing from primary and secondary suppliers, monitoring orders, expediting as needed, and maintaining accurate PO records; the ideal candidate has 3+ years in aviation purchasing and strong analytical, communication, and ethics standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent.
• Minimum three years purchasing experience in aviation preferred.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to read complex Purchase Agreements and terms.
• Excellent communication and ethical standards.
• Experience with procurement systems (Corridor preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Certified Purchasing or Supply Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and purchase materials and services at best price and quality.
• Source primary and secondary approved vendors.
• Monitor orders for delivery, price changes, and status.
• Expedite or take action to improve vendor performance.
• Maintain open PO reports with part numbers, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate material requirements and lead times with supervisor.
• Communicate with user groups on usage patterns or phase-outs.
• Ensure continuity of materials and paperwork flow across interfacing areas.
• Enter purchase orders into CRT terminal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
