Ardurra is seeking an Aviation Planner Team Lead in Torrance, CA, to guide multi-disciplinary teams on airport planning projects, with emphasis on airfield development and regulatory compliance. You will lead master plans, ALPs, and FAA coordination efforts, while managing scope, budgets, and client relations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in aviation planning, urban planning, civil engineering, airport management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of aviation planning experience including commercial airport planning and airfield development.
  • 5+ years of project management or supervisory experience leading aviation planning teams.
  • Experience preparing FAA-funded airport planning projects, master plans, ALPs, and related studies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage aviation planning teams in delivering airport planning projects.
  • Serve as project manager and technical lead for master plans, ALPs, airfield studies, and CIP programs.
  • Direct planning for runways, taxiways, aprons, safety areas, terminals, and support facilities.
  • Oversee airfield geometry analyses, capacity evaluations, and FAA design standard compliance reviews.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, quality assurance, and client communications.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, environmental specialists, GIS professionals, and subconsultants.
  • Develop and review technical reports, planning documents, and FAA coordination materials.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement including workshops and public meetings.
