Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services is seeking a Planning Coordinator to support aircraft maintenance events by coordinating between Planning, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Sales, Tooling and Inventory. The role emphasizes schedule integrity, material readiness, and cross-functional collaboration across two new hangars as part of rapid growth.

Ideal candidates have aviation MRO planning experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with aviation parts and tooling

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in an aviation MRO environment or similar planning role.
• Strong attention to detail and cross-functional communication.
• Understanding of aviation parts, tooling nomenclature, and work packaging.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end readiness for maintenance events, ensuring materials, rotables, and tooling are pre-positioned.
• Support work package setup with finance details and contracts documentation.
• Monitor part orders and expedite critical components with procurement.
• Track part locations and substitutions for backordered items across stores and inventory.
• Verify GSE and calibrated tools are available and allocated to upcoming checks.
• Maintain planning dashboards with real-time readiness status.
• Participate in daily readiness meetings and pre-induction reviews.
• Review work packages to ensure parts/tooling are assigned and address discrepancies.
• Document shortages or delays and support root-cause analysis.
