Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Paint Technician to join our on-site team in Chattanooga, TN. The role covers a wide range of painting tasks from stripes to detailed artwork, with hands-on work and safety as core requirements.

You will operate with a focus on quality, accuracy, and teamwork, under supervision, ensuring compliance with FAA guidelines. Benefits begin at hiring and include health options and 401K match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vo-tech school in paint or on-the-job experience preferred but not required.
• A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer.
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner.
• Washing the paint booth.
• Applying all layers of paint including top coat.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes.
• Prep and scuff paint for trim.
• Re-masking aircraft and performing detail work.
• Inspect completed paint jobs.
• Paint mixing and paint matching.
• Communicate clearly in English.
