Allflight Corporation is seeking an Aviation Paint Prep Technician to join our FAA approved Repair Station in Washington. You will prepare aircraft components for painting by cleaning, sanding and masking, ensuring parts are ready for coating with precision and safety.

Qualifications

  • Strong reading and interpretation of maintenance manuals and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft components for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by Lead Mechanics or management.
  • Ensure work follows procedures and document revisions.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area and proper equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with other employees and maintain positive relationships.

Job DescriptionAllflight Corporation is seeking an Aviation Paint Prep Technician to join our team. Allflight is a great opportunity to expand your aviation career at our FAA approved Repair Station in a convenient location.You will work on aircraft components, equipment, and assemblies (Flight control surfaces, TR’s, Engine Cowls, composites, and mechanical components) preparing them for painting. Ensure united are clean, sanded and masked in preparation for paint.Responsibilities:Techs will be required to accomplished work including cleaning, sanding, and masking parts to ensure proper preparation of aircraft assemblies.Techs will perform all tasks assigned by Lead Mechanics, or higher management.Ensures that all work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revisionComply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies.Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labor duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, and acceptable supplies are used.Techs will be responsible for keeping the work area clean and may be required to maintain or repair company property from time to time.Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with other employees.Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Prefer aircraft or painting experience.Prefer a minimum of five years of aircraft & repair station background.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.Technical knowledge and skills in aviation or car painting.Should possess a strong technical background and confidence in their abilities.Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and specifications to competently perform their duties.Must be able to work alone, without direction, and with minimal supervision.Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment.Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams.
