Job summary

Allflight Corporation in Kent, WA is seeking an Aviation Paint Prep Technician to join our team. This full-time role offers hourly pay of $21.00–$26.00 and requires ability to work any shift.

As a FAA-approved Repair Station, you will clean, sand and mask aircraft parts to properly prepare assemblies, follow procedures, and maintain safety. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid vacation/holidays and a 401k match.

Qualifications

  • Prefer a background in aviation or repair station painting.
  • Must read and interpret maintenance manuals and specifications.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and safe methods.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sand, and mask parts to prepare aircraft assemblies.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by Lead Mechanics or management.
  • Ensure work follows procedures and document revisions.
  • Comply with company rules and policies.
  • Monitor safety and costs; use proper equipment and supplies.
  • Keep work area clean and maintain company property as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Techs will be required to accomplished work including cleaning, sanding, and masking parts to ensure proper preparation of aircraft assemblies.
  • Techs will perform all tasks assigned by Lead Mechanics, or higher management.
  • Ensures that all work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revision
  • Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies.
  • Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labor duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, and acceptable supplies are used.
  • Techs will be responsible for keeping the work area clean and may be required to maintain or repair company property from time to time.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with other employees.
  • Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Prefer aircraft or painting experience.
  • Prefer a minimum of five years of aircraft & repair station background.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in aviation or car painting.
  • Should possess a strong technical background and confidence in their abilities.
  • Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and specifications to competently perform their duties.
  • Must be able to work alone, without direction, and with minimal supervision.
  • Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams.
