Job summary

Rio Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager for an FAA-regulated aviation facility in Burlington, WA. You will partner with Engineering, Quality, and the Operations Manager to oversee schedules, ensure compliance, and guide shop floor personnel.

The role blends supervisory duties with hands-on repair work, requiring strong knowledge of Part 145/Part 21, quality control, and FAA documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in aviation manufacturing/maintenance FAA Part 145 or Part 21 facilities.
• Experience leading manufacturing and repair personnel.
• Knowledge of aviation quality-control principles and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, technical data, and repair station manuals.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety PPE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate support, inspection, maintenance, and production teams.
• Dedicate 20+ hours per week to hands-on technician duties.
• Support daily Part 145 modification, inspection, and repair workflows.
• Evaluate facility needs, equipment, and workforce to resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure accurate retention of work orders and FAA documentation.
• Participate in root-cause analyses and FAA inspections.
• Halt production if airworthiness, quality, or safety standards are at risk.
