Job summary

Global Support and Development (GSD) seeks an Aviation Operations and Compliance Specialist in Charlotte, NC. You will direct air movements, manage charter networks, and ensure FAA compliance to transport relief personnel and up to 10,000 lbs of emergency cargo to disaster regions in the Caribbean and Central America.

The role requires 5+ years in aviation operations, strong FAA knowledge, and a drive for humanitarian rapid-response.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in aviation operations, humanitarian context preferred.
• Three or more years in international aviation operations.
• Knowledge of air cargo/air passenger documentation.
• Understanding CFR Parts 91, 133, 135 and permits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement aviation policy, plans and projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, insurers and legal for service agreements.
• Manage air movement and cargo up to 10,000 lbs.
• Schedule, plan, and coordinate aviation support and flights.
• Process invoices and payments for aviation services.
• Assist in training GSD personnel in aviation matters.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety requirements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet disaster response objectives.
