The Operations Control Specialist ensures flights meet FAA regulations and safety protocols while coordinating with flight crews, weather services, and hospitals to support timely, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of FAA and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret aviation weather information.
• Must respond quickly and prioritize tasks.
• Professional written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Communications Center Specialists and pilots when weather risks arise.
• Verify accuracy of FAA documents.
• Review flight risk assessments with the PIC per regulations.
• Monitor safe conduct of flight operations.
• Coordinate services for flights in progress (fuel, hangar, authorizations).
• Provide weather updates to flights in progress.
