Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor in the Department of Technologies to deliver and evaluate instruction for the Professional Pilot Technology program. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, FAA certificates, and teaching experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• FAA pilot certificates and endorsements to meet Part 141 requirements (e.g., Commercial Pilot, CFI, CFII).
• Flight Dispatcher License and strong understanding of the aviation industry.
• Knowledge of Teaching Methods & Instructional Design.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction on topics of the Professional Pilot Technology program.
• Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' work and communicates progress.
• Develops curricula and instructional materials such as syllabi and handouts.
• Maintains office hours for student support and assists in recruitment/retention.
• Maintains accurate attendance and gradesRecord keeping compliant with FERPA.
• Attends faculty meetings and professional development activities.
• Participates in departmental committees and outreach to the community.
