Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Mission Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily mission maintenance tasks, ensure compliance with safety standards and FAA regulations, and support the Aircraft Mission Maintenance Manager in coordinating schedules.

You will train and develop maintenance staff, monitor tools and materials, address technical issues with other departments, and enforce safety protocols to keep operations on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of aviation experience.
  • In lieu of degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Familiarity with FAA safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules.
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to obtain a passport and visa for international travel.
  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily mission maintenance activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
  • Conduct inspections of mission maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Monitor and ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Address maintenance issues and collaborate with other departments to resolve technical problems.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
