Job summary

Qualifications

• Progress towards a degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science.
• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student during the internship.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Responsibilities

• Learn work responsibilities of operational meteorologists.
• Write plain-language forecasts and TAFs for stations.
• Assist with weather information collection for research purposes.
• Assist with weather case study analyses.
• Become familiar with weather application software.
• Assist with data collection and distribution of weather content.
