Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Engineering (ABET) with 0–2 years of experience, five years in DoD/USG ISR/SOF.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET) with 2–4 years of experience, five years in DoD/USG ISR/SOF.
• Must have on aircraft/on wing experience; depot maintenance on military aircraft; structural aircraft experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide and provide mechanical engineering expertise to design complex equipment and to evaluate new applications.
• Determine theoretical principles and apply advanced analytical methods.
• Analyze tasks to estimate manpower and material needs.
• Prepare schedules for tasks within estimates.
• Supervise technicians in fabrication and installation of complex equipment.
• Direct field operation and maintenance activities of installations.
• Evaluate systems and design modifications to fix malfunctions or changes in requirements.
• Develop new applications with originality and complex test procedures.
• Plan and organize development of assignments; coordinate manpower and activities for integration.
• Review drawings for proper engineering techniques and specs.
• Develop, release, and maintain documentation per requirements.
• Review, write and edit reports to provide conclusions and data.
• Work with technical standards; apply theories and principles.
• Work under general supervision, providing solutions to moderate complexity.
