Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah seeks a Mechanical Definition Engineer III to translate customer requirements into actionable engineering deliverables for aircraft completions. You will develop and maintain build lists, create CTS tasking, and coordinate with Design Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure proper execution of configuration baselines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 13–15 years of related experience in aerospace or similar fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related engineering field.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, aircraft completions, or product definition.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation and configuration control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in engineering environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Translate customer sales requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
• Develop and maintain Preliminary and Initial Build Lists for aircraft programs.
• Create and manage preliminary aircraft tasking and engineering work packages.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering to define technical requirements.
• Facilitate communication across Completions, Baseline Engineering, Configuration Management, and leadership.
• Develop and verify Requirements Verification Matrices for traceability.
• Generate CTS tasking to support aircraft design activities.
• Participate in PDR, EDR, PR, and Definition Hand-Off meetings.
• Support configuration definition activities using SmarTeam and related systems.
• Monitor deliverables for alignment with requirements and schedules.
• Conduct root cause and corrective action investigations.
• Support Build List Change Request processing with Configuration Management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
• Provide status updates to engineering and leadership stakeholders.
