Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is seeking a Completions Tech Spec II - Mechanical Designer to advance interior outfitting for new, custom, and in-service aircraft. You will model, design, and specify cabinetry, liners, PSUs, and related components using CATIA V5 or AutoCAD, ensuring airframe compatibility and load/CG compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 10+ years in a relevant discipline, and the ability to liaise with Operations, Suppliers, and Quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required
• 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years across multiple technical disciplines
• Experience with product development from concept to production
• Ability to design installations and consider weight and CG effects
• Familiarity with Part 25 aircraft and Part 135 requirements
• Experience creating drawings and models in CATIA V5 or AutoCAD
• Coordinate with Operations, Suppliers, Procurement and Quality teams
• Make technical decisions and seek optimization
• Read, write and speak English proficiently

• Act as an authority within the field and advise colleagues
• Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities
• Balance technical objectives with cost and schedule
• Decide technical objectives and provide authoritative recommendations
