Job summary

Egis is seeking aTexas-based Texas State Lead Civil Engineer to support FAA and State DOT aviation projects in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on design, project management, and coordination to deliver airport improvements from planning through construction.

The position requires 12+ years of civil engineering experience, a PE preferred or obtainable within a year, and strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
  • P.E. preferred or the ability to obtain a State P.E. within the first year.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of general office equipment, MS Office, Faarfield.

Responsibilities

  • Design experience on FAA and State DOT aviation projects within an assigned client base.
  • Management of portions of a project: grant facilitation, design, bidding, construction administration, and close out to meet project goals on time and on budget.
  • Compliance with objectives contained within the individual airport master plans, federal grant assurance requirements, FAA and state design standards, and a project scope of work.
  • Knowledge and application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction including runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings.
  • Development of contract specifications and bid estimates.
  • Coordination of engineering design staff and other disciplines to meet objectives.
  • Accurate daily time keeping
