Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Planner for Amarillo, TX to bridge engineering data and factory execution in aircraft production. You will transform released engineering data into clear, repeatable manufacturing plans, work instructions, tooling requirements, and build sequences.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing and IE teams to resolve issues, implement process improvements, and ensure accurate information flows to the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in production or manufacturing planning.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning principles.
• Understanding of tooling methodologies and assembly processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and Digital Product Definition, including CAD and GD&T.
• Experience with manufacturing or ERP systems.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, IE and production teams.
• Strong problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate engineering changes using established systems and coordinate updates.
• Use CAD systems to analyze tooling requirements and participate in tooling design/evaluation.
• Provide timely support to the factory floor to ensure accurate changes.
• Reconcile Engineering BOM with Manufacturing BOM to ensure proper material consumption.
• Develop efficient, repeatable build sequences for major assemblies.
• Support root cause corrective actions and process improvements.
• Translate engineering requirements into practical production processes.
• Provide liaison support to manufacturing operations.
