Job summary

Blue Ridge Community College (Virginia) seeks a full-time Aviation Maintenance Technology Teaching Faculty member. The role may be 9- or 12-month with benefits, including health, retirement, and educational assistance. Responsibilities span in-person, hybrid, or online instruction, safety in labs, and student advising.

The instructor will maintain FAA records, support program evaluation, and participate in professional development and departmental activities to advance AMT education.

Qualifications

Two years of field experience in aviation maintenance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
Ability to teach a diverse student population and engage learners

Responsibilities

Teach a full load of courses (incl. labs) in person, hybrid, or online
Participate in program evaluation and curriculum improvement
Ensure safety in labs and proper handling of materials
Advise students on career paths and pursue student success
Maintain FAA compliant records and documentation
Contribute to department activities and scholarly engagement
