Job summary

SNC in the United States seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Manager I to lead maintenance planning, supervision, and airworthiness assurance for the Cannon AFB fleet. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance while navigating regulatory requirements and DoD deployment constraints.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive aviation experience, and ability to deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations with a current security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of aviation experience.
• In absence of a degree, 11 years of related experience.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with aviation safety standards.
• Understanding of FAA regulations and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule aircraft maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Supervise and manage maintenance personnel, ensuring they are qualified and adhere to safety standards and procedures.
• Conduct foreign object inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Establish work standards, schedules, and shifts to maximize efficiency.
• Analyze delays and system issues to drive improvements.
• Maintain airworthiness and safe operation of the fleet.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inspections.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.
• Monitor and manage maintenance budgets.
• Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices.
