Qualifications

• Possess current license/certifications in the trade area (e.g., FAA Mechanic Certificate - Airframe) or ability to attain licensure.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification 147 preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Ability to relate positively to students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver instruction following MA CTE Curriculum Frameworks for Aviation Mechanics.
• Prepare and deliver instruction for aviation maintenance technology standards aligned with department goals.
• Provide instruction in trade skills, problem solving, equipment usage, and shop operations.
• Use student-centered methods to create a positive learning environment.
• Foster a safety-conscious shop environment and teach OSHA 10 standards.
• Maintain decorum and manage records in SIS/competency tracking system.
