Job summary

Hillsboro Aero Academy in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) instructor to lead our maintenance program. You will deliver engaging lectures, supervise hands-on labs, and guide students toward A&P certification while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 3 years in aviation maintenance, a solid understanding of FAA regulations, and excellent communication. You will help develop curriculum, manage training equipment, and support admissions as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aviation maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training.
• Evaluate student performance through assessments and feedback.
• Maintain records of student progress and certification requirements.
• Manage daily operations of the A&P school, including scheduling and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards.
• Mentor students and support admissions as needed.
• Develop and update curriculum and training materials as required.
