Job summary

Thrive Aviation in Las Vegas seeks a Director of Maintenance (DOM) to lead the Part 135 maintenance team, ensuring fleet readiness and regulatory compliance. You will align maintenance strategies with company goals, manage budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with owners and internal stakeholders.

The role requires an A&P license or equivalent experience, a aviation management degree or substantial maintenance background, and deep FAA regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current A&P License required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or related field; OR 7–10 years of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection experience with a Part 135 operator.
• Expert knowledge of FAA regulations as it pertains to aircraft maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft parts management.
• Experience with aviation software tools to streamline maintenance tracking (e.g., fl3xx, CAMP, TRAXXALL) and fleet management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the activities of Part 135 maintenance personnel.
• Plan and assign work based on operational demands and priorities.
• Budgeting and forecasting maintenance needs for the fleet.
• Review maintenance invoices and obtain quotes for upcoming events.
• Ensure adherence to FAA, OSHA, and EHS regulations; process paperwork.
• Communicate maintenance scheduling with aircraft owners and representatives.
• Occasionally travel to support operational needs.
