Job summary

Southwest Airlines seeks a Summer 2027 Maintenance Programs Solutions & Analytics Intern to support the Performance and Technology Team in Technical Operations. You will gain hands-on exposure to data-driven decision-making, process improvements, and strategic initiatives while collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, and other operations.

The role requires enrollment as a full-time student, 3+ semesters remaining, and readiness to work at our Dallas, TX campus with equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or similar data analysis and visualization tools.
• Enrollment as a full-time student with at least 3 semesters remaining.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational improvement opportunities and design scalable solutions.
• Support cross-functional initiatives across Maintenance Programs and other teams.
• Plan, track, and execute projects using established PM practices.
• Create presentations and dashboards to share roadmaps and business cases.
• Monitor risks and communicate scope and priorities to leadership.
