Job summary

Duncan Aviation is the world’s largest family-owned aircraft MRO, seeking a Machinist (I-III) to repair and modify aircraft parts using welding, machining and fabrication per blueprints and drawings. Read and interpret technical drawings, order tools and materials, and maintain a safe work area.

Positions require welding certification, regular attendance, physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in machining or welding or equivalent required.
• One year machining and/or welding experience preferred.
• Two years machining and/or welding experience preferred; aviation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• With limited supervision uses machines, hand tools and welders to fabricate and repair aircraft parts and tools according to blue prints and specifications.
• Prepares work orders and purchase orders; researches manuals for repair specs; orders tools and materials.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and shop area.
• Keeps current FAA knowledge through training and reading technical docs; assists less-experienced technicians.
• Available for alternate shifts and capable of road trips within the US and internationally.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
