Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE seeks a Fabrication Specialist to fabricate aircraft parts and assemblies in compliance with PMA manuals and FAA requirements. You will read drawings, prepare parts for welding and assembly, and maintain required paperwork with attention to safety.

The role requires high school diploma and 1 year of parts fabrication or sheet metal experience, with opportunities for travel across the US and internationally. Training and relocation benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year parts fabrication or sheet metal experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specs.
• Must maintain training logs and pass FAA related training.
• Willingness to travel for road trips within the US and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate parts and assemblies from sheet metal, extrusions, composites per FAA docs and specs.
• Prepare parts for welding, riveting and assembly processes.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Record inspection steps and maintain PMA paperwork and logs.
• Apply corrosion control processes after fabrication.
• Perform basic troubleshooting as needed.
• Stay current with FAA regs and company policies via training.
• Be available for alternate shifts and road trips as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
