Job summary

Albers Aerospace is seeking a diligent Materials Handler to support internal operations by accurately moving, storing, and distributing materials in our Maryland facility. You will verify shipments, conduct inventories, and maintain precise records to ensure production needs are met.

The role requires forklift experience, basic computer and data-entry skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation required.
• Ability to learn and perform basic computer functions such as data entry, email communication, and inventory systems, with training.
• Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and inventory tracking.
• Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality.
• Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be a U.S citizen.

Responsibilities

• Store materials, tools, and supplies in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, stockrooms, tool rooms, or other designated areas.
• Receive, pack, unpack, sort, and stock materials and supplies according to established procedures.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments, inspect materials for damage or defects, and report discrepancies or concerns to supervision.
• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
• Distribute materials and supplies to internal customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform physical inventory counts and assist with inventory control and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and shipments as required.
• Assist other departments with material handling needs as required.
• Support general housekeeping and organization of warehouse and storage areas.
