Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the flow of materials, parts, and products in our Tampa, FL facility. You will receive incoming shipments, prepare outgoing orders, maintain inventory records, and help ensure timely delivery to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

In this role you will verify shipments, use barcode scanners, and maintain accurate records while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English and understand work instructions.
• 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory and data-entry systems.
• Experience using barcode scanners and electronic tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to count, verify, and document materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and delivery personnel.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals).
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against PO and packing slips.
• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments per customer and carrier requirements.
• Record received and shipped materials in inventory systems.
• Route materials to appropriate departments and work areas.
• Identify and report shipment discrepancies or damaged materials.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records per procedures.
• Monitor and replenish shipping supplies and packaging materials.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment.
• Assist with safe handling and storage of hazardous materials as required.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental policies.
