Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Manufacturing Shipping/Receiving Clerk for 2nd shift in Orangeburg, NY. You will receive shipments, prepare outgoing orders, maintain records, and help ensure materials are delivered to the right locations safely and on time.

In this role you support aviation safety by accurate material handling, data entry, and inventory system use. The starting rate is $28.45/hr with 2nd shift hours, and new hires train on 1st shift for 90 days before transitioning to the regular shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
• Ability to use computers and learn basic data entry and inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and complete shipping documents, records, and reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation.
• Experience operating material handling equipment or certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, PO, invoices, and other shipping documents.
• Unpack incoming materials and document shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Prepare materials for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging orders for pickup.
• Determine shipping methods and coordinate shipments with carriers.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Route materials to appropriate departments and production areas.
• Complete data entry and maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and packaging materials.
• Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures while keeping a clean work area.
