Job summary

GA Telesis MRO Services Component Repair Group seeks an experienced Landing Gear Technician to join our award-winning team in Miami, FL. The role focuses on building and tear-down of various landing gears and components, reporting to the VP of Landing Gear Operations.

The ideal candidate will use their experience to perform high-quality alterations and ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 repair station requirements. Eligible candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents as stated.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related experience.
  • 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion, or damage.
  • Utilize knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
  • Perform polishing, honing, and/or plating of various landing gear parts, including cylinders, pistons, and bushings, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Measure components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting component issues and recommend repair or replacement.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork including inspection records, work orders, and traceability logs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
