Job summary

The Tool Room Clerk position at The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) in Manassas, VA offers a hands-on role supporting a safe, organized learning environment. You will manage tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure students and faculty have what they need to succeed.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with tools in a shop setting. Weekend schedule and competitive hourly compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of experience using hand tools and equipment similar to an aircraft repair shop.
• Hands-on, technical or shop environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tool and equipment management: issue, track, inspect, and maintain tools and supplies.
• Safety and compliance: implement tool inspections and OSHA safety standards.
• Inventory and supply management: monitor levels and ensure availability for class projects.
• Maintenance and calibration: maintain calibration programs for precision tools and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Operational support: assemble/distribute tools and materials for class projects and support facility upkeep.
