Job summary

City of Austin is seeking an IT Project Manager Senior to lead enterprise IT projects within the Aviation IT PMO. You will drive scope, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications for large, complex initiatives.

The role requires strong experience in project management methodologies, contractual oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver on strategic IT goals for AUS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus six years of experience; education may substitute per policy.
• Expertise in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall project frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage enterprise IT projects from start to finish.
• Develop project scope, costs, schedules, and communication plans.
• Write RFPs and manage contracts, vendors, deliverables, and payments.
• Create complex project plans, manage dependencies and milestones.
• Provide leadership in IT PMO goals and stakeholder alignment.
