Job summary

Strategic Support Solutions, LLC in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Stock Clerk assigned by the Government to tool cribs, Mega Centers and plant services. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, inventorying and issuing IMRL gear, equipment, and tools, and preparing stock replenishment requisitions.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, comfort in an industrial setting, and proficiency with MS Office, ATICTS/MAXIMO, and lean six sigma concepts.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Naval Aviation hand tools and measuring devices.
• Experience in aviation maintenance tool rooms preferred.
• Past documented handling of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• ATICTS and MAXIMO data system experience is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma and ISO 9000 knowledge desirable.
• Must lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, inventory and issue IMRL gear, equipment, materials, supplies, or tools; compile stock records.
• Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items.
• Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
• Store articles in bins or shelves by style, size or type.
• Fill orders or issue supplies; prepare inventory reports using data systems.
• Requisition articles to fill incoming orders.
• Compile reports on stock usage, inventory adjustments and damage.
• Mark codes on articles; distribute stock among production workers.
• Make adjustments or repairs to stock.
• Cut stock to site to fill orders.
• Maintain HazMat lockers and issue HazMat using HMMS/CHRIMP.
• Follow HazMat waste procedures IAW FRCSEINST 5090.3.
• Participate in quarterly and yearly HW handlers and spill drill training.
